They are essential listening, so good on Bradfordian for drawing attention to them. My current particular favourite among so many treats is the recent one by Roisin White 'With thanks/Le buiochas', which I see as being a sort of heartfelt tribute to some of the people who have passed their songs on to her. It is well worth becoming a subscriber to Veteran; that way you get their new releases as soon as they come out with a 15% discount, and you can also get a 5% discount on CDs from other labels. Without them, the folk music world would be a much poorer place. BTW, CAMSCO carries 'em all. |

Another album which really impressed me recently : "Strange Lover is a Coalmine - The Mining Songs of Ed Pickford". What an inspirational writer ! Henry |
