Old Chestnuts revived

Recently purchased a new album called "Come awa' Wi' Me" by Ed Miller which consisted of a variety of traditional and contemporary songs. One of the 20th century songs was Ralph McTell's "Streets of London" which was done to death in the seventies. Everybody and his brother recorded it or included it in his repertoire, thereby making me sick and tired of it. However, hearing this excellent version by Ed Miller made me realize once again what a great song it was. Has this happened to you? If so what was the song?

One song I often do for things like bus tour groups, who aren't familiar with most of our songs, and I want to get them interested and singing, is "Home on the Range." I would never have gotten back to singing it if it weren't for Ian Tyson's excellent performance of it, on his CD from back in the early '80s - entitled "And Stood There Amazed" as a matter of fact.
