Presidents of English Folk Dance Society: Lady Mary Trefusis 1913-1927 Lady Ampthill 1928-1946 during which time the song and dance societies merged to form the EFDSS: Ralph Vaughan Williams 1946-1958 The Earl of Verulam 1958-60 Princess Margaret 1960-2002 Ursula Vaughan Williams 2004-2007 Shirley Collins 2008- Vice-presidents have included Douglas and Helen Kennedy, Ursula Vaughan Williams, Dame Ninette de Valois and - now - Eliza Carthy.
