Just to let fans of the big story-songs know that my 2008 album of Child Ballads, 'Songs of Trial & Triumph', is now available for download from CD Baby. Includes rare ones like 'Sir Aldingar' and 'False Foudrage' as well as some alternative versions of more familiar ballads.

Here's the link: Songs of Trial and Trimph

And a fine album it is.

I second Dick's opinion. Already have the physical copy. When you getting back to the US? I have a guitar you can borrow.

A fine CD indeed, I hope there will be a Vol.2.

Phil: I'm visiting the US in April, but not getting as far West as Illinois this time round. It's definitely something I plan to do, though. And when the time comes, I'll be happy to borrow your guitar!

Erich: I am thinking about Vol. 2, although these things take a lot of research, and I've already used up some good ones on my more broadly-focussed recordings. So, some work to do, but it will happen.

Brian - have you considered using Bandcamp and/or AmazingTunes?

I think they might take less of a cut than CDBaby.

I'll look into that, Matt, thank you. CD Baby has in recent years been the choice of many independent pro musicians, but I know people with Bandcamp too. Amazing Tunes is a new one on me - new things spring up so fast these days.
