What's the best free program to read a .pk file?

The PK file type is primarily associated with 'Audition' by Adobe Systems Incorporated (the name of the program was formerly Cool Edit Pro). This page (click) will give you some information, but doesn't list free programs that will open the file.

Peak is a recently discontinued audio editor for the Mac which was once very popular. I would guess that Audition is a knockoff of it. Anybody with a Mac who is in the audio processing biz should have a copy of Peak somewhere. I think I have, though I've never used it and don't know where I've put it.

Maybe Audacity can open Peak files?
