27 Jan 13 - 10:38 PM (#3472292) Subject: Chord Req: Let The Good Times Roll From: Ron Davies Hi all, I haven't found this on either Mudcat --don't think I missed it--or the Net. There are at least two songs with the title "Let The Good Times Roll", one a hit for Shirley and Lee in the 60's, one a song sung by Louis Jordan. I have the lyrics for both. Anybody have the chords for either--or, even better, both? Thanks. |

28 Jan 13 - 06:51 AM (#3472377) Subject: RE: Chord Req: Let The Good Times Roll From: Ron Davies Let The Good Times Roll Come on baby, let the good times roll Come on baby, let me thrill your soul.. Come on baby, let the good times roll.. Roll all night long... Come on baby, yes this is it... This is the something I just can't quit Come on baby, let the good times roll.. Roll all night long... Come on baby, while the thrill is on.. Come on baby, let's have some fun.. Come on baby let the good times roll.. Roll all night long... Come on baby, just close the door.. Come on baby, let's rock some more... Come on baby let the good times roll.. Roll all night long... Feels so good... When you're home.. Come on baby.. Rock me all night long.. Come on baby, let the good times roll Come on baby let me thrill your soul.. Come on baby, let the good times roll.. Roll all night long... Feels so good... When you're home.. Come on baby.. Rock me all night long.. Come on baby, let the good times roll Come on baby, let me thrill your soul.. Come on baby, let the good times roll.. Roll all night long... I understand some radio stations refused to play it at the time--too suggestive, of course. I bet that helped sales--it was a smash hit. I tried the link above suggested above for chords--no luck. Still need chords--informal group wants to do this for Mardi Gras. |
28 Jan 13 - 06:58 AM (#3472378) Subject: RE: Chord Req: Let The Good Times Roll From: Ron Davies Here's the song sung by Louis Jordan--I think It was written by B. B King. Let The Good Times Roll Hey, everybody, let's have some fun You only live but once And when you're dead you're done, so Let the good times roll, let the good times roll I don't care if you're young or old Get together, let the good times roll Don't sit there mumblin', talkin' trash If you wanna have a ball You gotta go out and spend some cash, and Let the good times roll, let the good times roll I don't care if you're young or old Get together, let the good times roll Hey Mr. Landlord, lock up all the doors When the police comes around Just tell 'em that the joint is closed Let the good times roll, let the good times roll I don't care if you're young or old Get together, let the good times roll Hey, tell everybody Mr. King's in town I got a dollar and a quarter Just rarin' to clown But don't let nobody play me cheap I got fifty cents more that i'm gonna keep, so Let the good times roll, let the good times roll I don't care if you're young or old Get together, let the good times roll No matter whether it's rainy weather Birds of a feather gotta stick together So get yourself under control Go out and get together and let the good times roll Need the chords for this too. Both songs are on YouTube |
