I liked him - met him several times. We'll have to agree to disagree about his administration. He was slow to respond to AIDS but he did a lot of good things in The City.

Nobody that I know of is perfect, but as politicians go, I pretty much liked Ed Koch.
NY could have done "woise" - and often has.

When I was woiking' in Harlem during the financial crisis, he closed several hospitals and clinics that were important to the area on the grounds that they were losing money. Now what current New York governor does that sound like?
