Those poor cruise folks From: Mrrzy Ballad for those unfortunates who not only didn't get a cruise, they got stuck with no toilets or internal climate control and ended up towed to, I'm sorry, Mobile, Alabama? Somehow that isn't where I would want to be shipwrecked... |

The Carnival Triumph would take us away, For our greatest ever cruise holiday. Vittorio Marchi a captain of note, Was in full control of this fantastic boat. Travelling seaward on our Caribbean cruise, We were suddenly given some troubling news. A fire had started in the engine room ,aft, But flames were not fanned by the usual draught. Automatic extinguishers put the flames out, But left no propulsion for turning about. One fifty miles off the coast of Yucatan, Was where our nightmare ordeal then began. We found that there was no water on tap, We couldn't even have a good crap. It wasn't until a whole day later, The ship was provided with a good generator. The sewage system was restored to the fore, But the aft still no good was such a great bore. That day the Carnival Legend arrived, To bring food and water to keep us alive. They took off a man who wasn;t too well, To take him for some treatment in Cozumel. Two days later again, being towed by the tugs, The cruise was cancelled, we felt such mugs. The goal was to reach the port of Mobile, But even to get there, took the tugs a long while. Our plight was observed my many a Nation, And now we await our paid compensation. As well as having a full refund, Now the whole thing seemed incredibly moribund. |

Those poor cruise folks From: JohnInKansas You might want an optional chorus for the group that were put on a bus when they got off the boat, to take them from Mobile to New Orleans - and the bus broke down. (Just one more "Oh Shit" for when you need a little extra.) Passengers (some of them) have heaped lavish praise on the crew for "how hard they worked" to try to keep people as happy as they could, so a song from the other side about "heroic maids and bus boys doing what we could" might also be a hit, if you can find enough material in the interview reports.
