03 Nov 99 - 06:33 PM (#131466) Subject: RE: Radio: Mudcat Radio Episode X From: Jon Freeman Think of chat rooms, I have just written my own. Not to rival Mudcat in any way but as an exercies in C++ (server side) and Java programming. I have asked 2 people to try it so far, one couldn't load it and the other's nrowsers security refused the connection to my server socket. I would be interested to know if any one can log in so if anybody is willing to try, I'd be grateful. It is at http://www.jonbanjo.freeuk.com/Webshare/wwwroot/default.htm Just a couple of notes: Unlike the Mudcat one, alhough there is a grey box on a web page, the program runs in its own frames. Patience is needed with the buttons, especially the log on button. It does not always work but it takes time for the log on dialog to load from the web. I do not have a fixed IP address and DNS mapping does not work with my ISP. At the moment (until my phone cuts me off) if anybody does try and get that far, the IP address required on logon is 212.49.233.244 Jon
