06 Jun 13 - 03:40 AM (#3523328) Subject: RE: Alcester Summer Folk Festival From: My guru always said Sue: As Kitty said! Basically, the festival organisers kindly program in a time & a place for MudCatters to Gather. We say hello, introduce ourselves to each other, bring and eat chocolate and have a Singaround. We hug too! As I recall, the 'small room' is exactly what it says on the tin, it is 'small'! When we Gathered in February it seemed to work quite well with people cramming chairs in & making space for others to join in. But it was also quite fluid, with Catters wandering in when there was space and wandering off to other events when they felt like it. As long as empty seats are 'fair game' and people don't bring the kitchen sink with them it ought to work! So, who's coming??? |

Thanks for all the effort that was put in by the organising team.... |

26 Jun 13 - 02:02 PM (#3530650) Subject: RE: Alcester Summer Folk Festival From: Girl Friday Is it that hard to spot Mumblin' Len ? O.K. He's not an active mudcatter, but he is the other half of Tone Deaf Leopard. We can't believe how many of our original songs we played. It's a wonderful festival for singing, and concerts. Amazing what can be acheived in one weekend . Kitty and Derek's sessions were great. Breakfast with Alhambra was an experience . What a beautiful building is the Town Hall ? Trevor worked it out that it must be the Town Hall because it looked like a Rathause. We'll be back. |
