Cleckheaton Folk Festival '13

This years Cleckheaton festival looks like being a real treat this year. Some fab guests including Pete Coe, Steve Tilston, The Wilsons, Maddy Prior Trio, The Mighty Doonans, Maz O'Connor and loads more. With the sad demise of the Saddleworth Festival this is a great alternative. Heres a link for more info........

See you there folks

Clicky's and Links - it just gets better and better. The infamous War of the Roses returns from over the hill for another Lancs/Yorks battle. "What the Folk!" travels from Central England to the North. The Wilson Family will be in the heart of Yorkshire and Russ Hughes returns from the deep South. A truly national event not to be missed !!!

The Wilsons put on a fantastic show at the Sage Gateshead last month and I don't know if they are performing it elsewhere, but go and see it if you get the chance. A very entertaining night. They also mentioned that night that they had just finished recording with Sting (yes Sting) maybe they'll bring him to Cleckheaton

So battle lines have been drawn - Team Captains have been rallying their troups and the teams are ready to be announced for the War of the Roses on Saturday 6th July 2013 in the (hopefully) sunny West Yorkshire town of Cleckheaton. Battle will commence at midday at the Station Tavern. Entry Fee at the door £4 -- What a bargain!!! Weekend and Day tickets holders free as usual. Sid Calderbank and Alan Cox & Ann Clancy will cross songs will whole host of celebs from the folk world. Don't miss it !!!! Watch this space for team news.
