11 Mar 13 - 12:22 PM (#3489165) Subject: A new MIDI editor/sequencer/player From: Bill D http://ariamaestosa.sourceforge.net/ (freeware) Or, for portable (no install) version: http://www.winpenpack.com/en/download.php?view.1355 I've only been playing with it briefly, but it seems very well constructed. I only play MIDIs, and seldom construct or edit them, so you may see many more features than I have noted. "Aria Maestosa is an open-source (GPL) midi sequencer/editor. It lets you compose, edit and play midi files with a few clicks in a user-friendly interface offering score, keyboard, guitar, drum and controller views. Aria Maestosa runs on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux/Unix. It is translated in many languages including French, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Russian." It has several modes for editing- Piano, score & guitar. (changing modes requires setting preference, then closing & re-opening program) You can set the volume for each track individually and do a number of other display and playback tricks. |
