I'm interested. Are you looking to sell? Give them away? How about posting a list?

I love, love, love folk LPs!!! Just bought an obscure folk LP recently and love the large booklet inside with all the lyrics and other information. I am always searching for obscure folk Lps (to buy at a reasonable price)but not folk Lps that are on CDS now.
I am willing to buy them if you could send me a list.
Would not expect or want them for free as I think it is only fair to at least pay something for them, including postage.
Thank you,
Lin

How about putting them up for auction on Mudcat and then maybe split the proceeds with the Mudcat appeal fund?

Just a thought.

Hi again,

I am looking for any folk Lps (obscure) with a female singer, either as a duo or in a group - but not mainstream folk. I have Steeleye Span, Sandy Denny & Fairport Lps, etc so I am just looking for the more obscure folk from 60's & 70's (but not acapella singing).

Maybe the singer/group had only one or two Lps and disappeared from the music scene and were not well known. That's the kind of folk Lps I am interested in. I am just an individual, I am not looking to resale them - just enjoy the obscure folk stuff for my own listening and enjoyment.
Thank you,
Lin

Hi Good Soldier Schweik:

I am really only looking for very obscure UK folk Lps with male/female duos or obscure folk groups with a female folk singer on LPs that had albums in the 60's & 70's. I know there were probably hundreds of mostly unknown groups w/female singers that were mainly just known locally (where they lived - and played mostly small folk venues - and then released maybe one or two albums but were not very well known even in folk circles.)
Of course, Martin Carthy is great and well known with a lot of albums but not the type of album I am seeking right now.

Thank you just the same!
I do appreciate you taking the time to write and offer your album.

Thank you,
Lin

I have some albums I actually would like to sell. I will get them together and indicate the singer and album it is and write the price. I am in USA so I would have to figure out the cost of postage depending where you live.
It may take me a little while to get this together as I will be out of town next week and will not have any time to get to the post office until after May 2, 2013. I am not into selling on Ebay.
I will put the prices in US dollars and if you have any questions about the album, please post a message.
I will try and post later this evening what the albums are.
My prices are mainly on the low side.

Thank you,
Lin

Here is a list of only a few I can get to tonight as I have to look through some other ones to list in the next few days. I am getting ready to go out of town in a few days so if I don't get to any others, I will have to do this when I return home after May 2, 2013.

These I am listing here are all American artists. If you have further questions you want to know about any of these Lps please let me know.

1. SUSAN OSBORN - "You Gotta Believe" - LP - 1979

2. RuthAnna - "Sky Light" - LP - 1986 (RuthAnna T. Welch)
    (Massachusetts folk singer)

3. Phil Runnels - "On the Merry-Go-Round" - LP - 1981
(folk/rock) I believe this artist is from Maine.

4. Brownie Macintosh - "Song Weaver"- LP - 1979

5. Julie - "Self-Titled - Julie" - LP - No year listed anywhere,
checked back of cover and LP - no date but I am guessing
late 1970's or early 80's. (Julie McCarl) but just goes by
    Julie on LP cover.

6. Adam Timoon - "Live" - LP - 1971? No year listed but looking
his name at various sites - one indicates it was in 1971.
    (Canadian)

7. The Best Of Backwoods - LP - No year indicated. Unknown folk
group out of Columbus, Ohio Probably about mid-late 1970's from
the way they look and dress.
Names of artists are: Glenn "Sparky" Price, Jim Higgins,
Debby Cathell, Jim J.R. Snell and Danny Milhon for dobro work.

This is all I have time for tonight. I wasn't sure if I am allowed to indicate prices or not. Someone, please let me know about that.

Thank you,
Lin

We are going to be moving into smaller quarters and have not yet decided whether the vinyl has to go. If so, we are likely to list them at the mudcat auction.

Amen, that's a good piece of the fun. I can't see ever giving up my vinyl. I set aside a few hours a week to enjoy my collecton.
