25 Apr 13 - 06:08 PM (#3508881) Subject: RE: Holmfirth Fest of Folk 2013 From: TopcatBanjo I thought it might be helpful to add the website link: Holmfirth Festival of Folk As mentioned above this now includes the completed programme which I attach here: Festival Timetable pdf For those who enjoy an American flavour to their folk music, the fabulous Jaywalkers will be playing a couple of times over the weekend. Their sizzling brand of roots music includes bluegrass and jazz influences and features the soulful singing of Jay Bradberry as well as lovely fiddle and mando playing from Jay and Mike and a top bass player in Lucy Williams. Fabulous musicians. In the same vein (but not nearly as virtuosic!) I will be playing a short set with my bandmate James as part of the Friday night Folk Club hosted by Ray. We sing a mix of bluegrass and Americana with the odd gospel song thrown in! I'll also be hosting a bluegrass session on Saturday afternoon. Maria |
