The Committe has been hard at work for months and apart from the events at the Picturedrome which has Lau, Churchfitters and others!

The Civic, Tams and Coope, Wilsons, Janet Russell!

Old Bridge for the ppl who like to sing on Friday night (I am compere), Sat afternoon Brambles has She Shanties: Hex and Ruth and Sadie Price, Fyrish

Old Bridge comperes Fyrish for singers afternoon and evening concert

Cricket club with Gerry McNeice, String Theory Friday and Sat evenings

Full prog imminent!

Nook as usual for musicians and a good dance and workshops turn ups expected

Other events and opportunities now sorted

May 10/11/12 2013 not 14 of course Friday Sat and Sunday to finish late afternoon

Picturedrom carries BIG acts Lau Churchfitters etc

Holmfirth Civic is being used once again and Reg Meuros and The Mighty Wilsons

the "Free" events largely Old Bridge on Friday evening and Saturday day

Old Bridge Sat evening usual concert to be paid event

Church events and CRicket Club late nights and a host of different events

Dancers as usual in the town is a well received "happening"

see Homfirth festival of folk website too

the Nook and Brambles have usual music or song events She Shanties etc and plenty of chances for everyone to sing and play

Yes Wilson's on at Old Bridge and also Civic per my "draft" programme other guest Reg Meuross and Cherrington and Ward and Fyrish Sat pm a number oif venues in easy walking distance will be used too

She Shanties Roger Davies and a Ceildh (with Blackbeards Tea Party on Sat evening) all figure French Music and Dancing on Friday evening in Brambles once again with Vikky Johnson!

Evening events will have a charge not sure about Sat pm in Old Bridge charge!

I don't know personally!

I have taken this aspect up with t'committee and they have an imminent meeting ~ I suspect first come first served at the OB at the event

For those who enjoy an American flavour to their folk music, the fabulous Jaywalkers will be playing a couple of times over the weekend. Their sizzling brand of roots music includes bluegrass and jazz influences and features the soulful singing of Jay Bradberry as well as lovely fiddle and mando playing from Jay and Mike and a top bass player in Lucy Williams. Fabulous musicians.

In the same vein (but not nearly as virtuosic!) I will be playing a short set with my bandmate James as part of the Friday night Folk Club hosted by Ray. We sing a mix of bluegrass and Americana with the odd gospel song thrown in! I'll also be hosting a bluegrass session on Saturday afternoon.
