Is any kind mucatter who has or has access to the sheet-music for Percy Dearmer's "Glad Hearts Adventuring" (once much beloved in Anglican circles in the East) willing to scan and email me a copy (or post it to me)? If so, please PM me. I will transcribe the words here.

WorldCat.org shows that several libraries have the sheet music, described as follows in catalogs:

GLAD HEARTS ADVENTURING : song
Words by M.A. Macdonald ; music by Martin Shaw.
Publisher:        London : J.B. Cramer ©1924.
"Issued under agreement with The Girl Guides Assoc. (Incorporated by Royal Charter)."

[I don't see any mention of Percy Dearmer. Maybe he was a performer?]

Hi Sanjay,
Percy Dearmer was not involved with this song at all! The mix-up may be due to the fact that Percy Dearmer and Martin Shaw collaborated on a number of hymn-books, such as the English Carol Book, Songs of Praise, the Oxford Book of Carols etc etc.
Glad Hearts was written for the Girl Guide Movement. The author, MA Macdonald, was Chief Guide at the time. It became very popular, and is still used as a school hymn.

You can get a reproduction full copy music score and the vocal only score from me via the Martin Shaw website: www.martinshawmusic.com. Go to the 'contact us' page for details.

As the music is still in copyright, there will be a fee payable to the Martin Shaw Trust.
