Cyril sang it as a fast tempo song. Chas said he now realized that he was singing Lead Belly's version, "In New Orleans." Not much about Cyril really, but it was an interesting anecdote. |

Chas has been a great help from day one. He shared the New Orleans story story with us as well; Cyril was a Lead Belly fanatic and played a huge repertoire of LB's tunes. Bonzo3legs: for good or bad, Cyril was an uncompromising band leader - for sure. Did you happen to enjoy the Marquee show? |

Cyril thought he was going to have Jimmy Page on guitar but that didn't work out. Bernie Watson (guitar) and Ricky (Fenson) Brown (bass) are still around but Carlo Little and Nicky Hopkins have passed on...all great talents; they were very young at the time. |
