28 May 13 - 04:56 AM (#3519942) Subject: RE: Jackson Brodie, series 2 - Who's singing? From: Kampervan Yes, I didn't find it intrusive, but I wonder if that was because I enjoyed the songs so much. Maybe it would have been different if it had been tracks that I didn't like. Were they the sort of tracks that you would listen to in another context Les? I suppose the fact that I noticed them might suggest that they were intrusive - a subject for another thread maybe,,,,,, Should a soundtrack be pitched so that you hear it without realising? As you say, you can't please all the people... Cheers K/van |
28 May 13 - 12:22 PM (#3520054) Subject: RE: Jackson Brodie, series 2 - Who's singing? From: LesB No I wouldn't normally listen to Americana, but I felt that the songs were too loud & intrusive in the context they were used in. They weren't used sufficiently in the background to create an atmosphere such as in 'Heartbeat' for instance. Too much in your face for me. Cheers Les |
