The programme for this year's Rant is now on the website and there are several Catters on the guest list - some of whom will be celebrating our birthdays that weekend too! If you live within reasonable travelling distance, come and join us in the lovely Dorset countryside for good music and friendship, as well as to benefit a couple of deserving local charities.

I should have mentioned in my OP that events, apart from the barn dance (tickets £5)are free - camping, including access to showers and indoor toilets, costs £10 per person for the weekend, and there is a survivors' folk club on Sunday evening for people who want to stay over. The profits from the barn dance, donations, food and bar sales and raffles go to the designated charities.

Update - the Exmouth Shanty Men will be singing in the pub (Royal Oak) at 1pm on Saturday and also afterwards in the showcase concert. Other performers for the showcase concert will be programmed as available - and there will be opportunities for anyone who wants to perform to do so in the folk club and evening song sessions.

Al - I remember you could only make it to the survivors' session last year, so if you're able to come on Friday and/or Saturday, we'll be pleased to see you!

PS No Fixed Abode - Una and Tony - are performing in the church concert on Sunday, so they might like to hear the una song at the survivors' session, if they haven't already heard it!

This might be a silly question but I'll ask anyway...

Is the site easy to find?

This is the Una song for anyone who enjoyed it and would like to download it free. It lacks something without the accompaniment of Una squirming with embarrassment.

Thanks to everyone at Roger's Rant for making my 65th something to (vaguely)remember. Special thanks to Roger and Alice, to Gilly for the cake organising, to those who sat up to the small hours of Sunday morning and helped dispose of the Sailor Jerry, to Big Al for the Una song which made me laugh so much, especially watching Una's reactions.
Once again thanks to all who were there.

Our first time at the Rant and we thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the sunburn. Huge thanks to all who organised and helped out to make this such a lovely smoothly run weekend. Am hoping to persuade Richard to bring me next year too!

Thanks too for the opportunity to sing in the church concert on Sunday, and to all who listened and sang with me. What lovely acoustics!!

Una has now recovered from big Al's lyrical assault.......however the wine took a little longer to go through!! Thanks for the invite; it was lovely to see a lot of friends having fun in the sun!! Hope to see you all again somewhere down the road.

Not only did we have a wonderful time and great weather, but we've raised a little over £2,000 for the charities, which I think is a record - thanks again to everyone who contributed!
