I need help getting the tab for Memory Waltz. I have the sheet music but it's not how it's played at all or most of it. I have it here on youtube if anyone wants to help me out.

Jeff, if you're still interested, be more specific. Tab for which instrument? Would ABC notation of the tune do, as played in the YouTube vid? (I think there is software to produce "tabs" from ABC notation - experts may tell you more.)

Lovely tune: odd structure with only 7 bars per phrase rather than 8 you'd get in most tunes, but no objection to that.

There's mandolin tab on this site and you may find others by checking Google

Yes, Tattie, an interesting tune. The web sources are a bit vague about provenance and possible copyright. The differences between the sheet and the video are marginal: some note repetitions and slight shifts of rhythm.

As for software-generated tabs, they sometimes fall short of the fingering a good player would choose.

Thanks for the replies, but what is played is not on the sheet music on the link that is provided above but pretty close. There is parts missing or could be just me not being able to play good...lol. Whatever way anyone would want to tab it for me is fine, I can translate just about anything. I have no issue playing from sheet music.

It is just you not being able to hear that the tune is essentially repeated, just with the arrangement getting richer every time. Rawlins Cross do a perfectly professional job, and their arrangement is of course their intellectual property. If you want to play the tune, do it your way.

"Pretty close": such tiny differences are always left to the performers' taste. Here is an ABC of the beginning as played by RC:

X:1
T:Memory Waltz
M:3/4
L:1/8
K:G
Bc | d4 de|d4 c2| B2 Bc dB| G4 D2 | E4 G2 | c2 cd e2 | A2 B2 c2 |

...

That is true I understand the repeat, but one part they are up higher on the strings meaning up on the G string and also one part you can see that they are on the bottom strings but up further up the frets. That part is something different all together. Have a look at the youtube video again, I am at work so I am not sure where it is in the video.
Thanks again!!!
Jeff

Jeff, I noticed a part where the melody is mainly played by the tin whistle, and the mandolinist plays an accompanying voice ("counterpoint"). This is a feature of the particular arrangement, not of the tune itself.

Jeff, you still haven't said which instrument you want tab for. The video starts with mandolin, and my link gave mandolin tab,but maybe you want guitar tab?

Sorry, for the mandolin. The link that is there is not quite the same as rawlins cross plays it. I modify it and i can get it pretty close, but in the video around 1:40 that part I would like to get tabbed
