21 Jun 13 - 07:38 AM (#3528607) Subject: Wittfest festival ,Long Wittenham From: bubblyrat Only another week or so to go , and it will be time (June 28,29,and 30) for this great little FREE Folk Festival in the grounds by the Thames of the "Plough " pub at Long Wittenham near Abingdon .Sessions, concerts ,good food , lovely setting , and Jody Wyatt singing Richard Thompson, and there is even a rare plants stall ! What more could you want ?? So --who's going ( other than Jody and myself !!) ?? |

I haven't visited the village for more years than I care to admit to but it's special as my ancestors come from there. Geneaological sleuth Mab Foxen discovered they ran the village smithy in the 1800s. Now there's a cue for a song. |
