Whitby Folk Clubs

I'm working in Whitby Friday 19th and Saturday 20th July. I tried to find Folk music last night, Thursday and failed.
Could anyone suggest where there might be a sing around or folk club Friday or Saturday night. Dennis

There is a Friday night Folk Club at the Dolphin in Robin Hoods Bay (south of Whitby) and a Saturday Night Folk Club at the White Hart Mickleby (North of Whitby) and there may be a Sat session at LIFO in Whitby town but perhaps someone else could confirm that.

There used to be a Friday session in the Dolphin by the bridge in Whitby but I'm not sure now. Cujimmy is correct, there is still a sing around in the First Inn Last Out on Saturday. You will be welcome.

See you there if you come.

Chris

Thanks all.
I will certainly make the FILO Saturday night and the Dolphin in Robin Hoods Bay tonight.
I will be visiting Whitby regularly for work and next time I am here on Thursday I will call at The Friendship rowing club.
Hope to see you Chris and Muppet, I'm the old chap with the big mustache.

Like where? I'm a committed know all poser from way back and I want to know where to go when I'm down in Whitby next month.

Great night in the Dolphin, a little like a Sauna, but some good singing and musicians. It was a guest night so I got chance to see and hear Steve Turner, bought his new CD as recommended by Dave Kidman.
I was made very welcome and got a couple of songs in myself.
Thanks Hazel for the suggestion and Ray it was a good,un.
Trying the FILO tonight and looking forward to it. Dennis

The White Hart at Mickleby has a folk club on a Saturday, tonights club is preceded by a dance display from Loco's in Motion and Redcar Sword at 7.30ish. I think a supper is put on as well.

Correctiion to the above Guests post.
Tonight at the White Hart is a normal singers night. The dancers have unfortunately had to be cancelled.

Is the beer very odd in the FILO?
