It's just come to my attention that there will be a one-day folk festival at Music Mountain in Falls Village, Connecticut, USA (near Folk Legacy Records) on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Our own Johnson Girls (Joy Bennett, Alison Kelley, Bonnie Milner, and Deirdre Murtha) are scheduled to perform at 4 & 7 pm, in addition to a guest appearance by our well-loved Caroline Paton (& others). David Paton is organizing the event. The First Annual Music Mountain Folk Music Jamboree (scroll down to August 24) starts at noon with outdoor music, crafts, food, & dancing, followed by an indoor concert at 6:30 pm. Admission price is $30 per person at the door or advance tickets for $27. Youths under 18 are free, when accompanied by a ticket holder. Parking is, also, free. Duane Degutis will be manning the Folk Legacy stand, making recordings available for purchase.
