Both Les and Carole were looking forward to the Tredegar House Folk Festival fundraising concert, held in the town of Usk with Allan Yn Y Fan, Chris Moreton and Dave and Meg Cox; however, at the end of the concert, compere Barbara Griffiths broke the news that Les had gone. Les developed Isca Morris's website and was the mainstay of the team; meanwhile, details are sketchy at the moment. |

He was the Isca Morris co-founder and a founder member of Gwerinwyr Gwent (The Welsh team based in Bassaleg) back in 1976. His widow, Carole, danced with Cwmni Gwerin Pont-y-pwl. Isca was the Roman name for the gigantic fort at Caerleon, five miles to the north of Newport, near to the River Usk. Over the years, Gwerinwyr Gwent and Isca Morris have been involved in many events together; Les will be sadly missed. |
