13 May 97 - 11:03 PM (#5188) Subject: Lulubelle and Scotty From: Nuttby This couple recorded around the 20's, in the same style as the original Carter Family, and I believe they did not want any of their music preserved. Any information on their recordings and lyrics. Maybe Bluebird Records? |

14 May 97 - 03:03 PM (#5221) Subject: RE: Lulubelle and Scotty From: Rich Drabik Lulubelle and Scotty were regular members of the National Barn Dance on WLS in Chicago. They were there until the Barn Dance went defunct in the early '50s, as far as I can remember. I was a kid at the time, so I my memory is a little hazy, but they had a signature song which might have been "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?" or something similar. |
