Anyone know the word From: GUEST,Fred McCormick Several years ago I heard a modern song about the first world war, which had been set to the tune of Hubert Parry's Repton. AKA Dear Lord and Father of Mankind. Unfortunately I can't remember thet title or any of the the text, or who wrote it. Indeed, aetheistical sod that I am, it's taken me until now to work out what the tune is called. Apologies for being so vague, but would anyone out there have a set of the words. The modern first world war song, that is. Not DLAFOM. |

The song I'm after is specifically about the first world war and (I think) concerns a man who'd joined up before realising what a hell hole the western front was. |
