29 Dec 13 - 12:23 PM (#3587326) Subject: Kent session with Peter Collins tonight From: Gavin Atkin If you're in or near Kent and fancy an outing tonight, please join us for a session of songs, tunes and other stuff at the Bell and Jorrocks pub, Frittenden starting at 8pm. Our featured guest is a favourite local singer, the warm-voiced and warm-hearted Peter Collins - just the man to warm the cockles of your heart in the quiet days after Christmas. The evening will also feature the Nonsuch Mummers who bring a couple of mumming plays for everyone's entertainment. These cracking Frittenden sessions take place on the last Sunday (usually) in the month from September to April, from 8pm at the Bell & Jorrocks (TN17 2EJ). What you get is an entertaining old fashioned and traditional pub evening with songs and tunes, and plenty of variety and good humour. If you've got a song, a tune, a stepdance, a poem, a story or even a favourite joke out of a cracker - or just enjoy joining in with a chorus or listening in the bar, please come along. We go on until it's time to close with Nellie Dean the old way – just as people used to before the telly and the computer.
