06 May 15 - 08:23 PM (#3707013) Subject: RE: Derek Brimstone has nasty fall From: GUEST,Patrick small Hi Derek hope you are well . Just bumped into this site and it reminded me of those long lost days in deepest Cornwall where I first met you and your family at John battensbys cottage in perranwell. I rember we we all wearing our regulation folk uniforms of peaked cloth cap and knotted silk scarve and one of your boys called me a poofter! Of course he was duly admonished.. What wonderful times we had on the Cornish folk scene . I rember you were booked at a local club which had a no smoking policy and it was wonderful to behold . Slowly and with deliberation you pulled out a packet of cigarettes lit one ,took a puff , attached it to the end of your guitar and said ' stuff it' or words to that effect. I wish you a long and happy retirement. Thanks for all the fun. |
