Just the other side of the Exe estuary the main railway line to the extreme west of England has been washed away by a storm. Sidmouth festival is a week-long festival of mainly traditional song, music and dance (social, display and ritual) that has been running for some 60 years and has been a fixture for several generations of folkies. |
