Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you know about our opportunity called the Unsigned Only Music Competition.

Unsigned Only is a unique music competition designed for solo artists, bands, and singers all over the world who are not signed to a major label record company or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, or imprints. The goal of Unsigned Only is to find an outstanding, talented performer: a band, singer, or solo artist...a newcomer or veteran...raw or polished - the "gem" that needs to be discovered. Unsigned Only is looking for the total package. Some of our judges include Of Monsters and Men, John Oates, Neon Trees, Mike Posner, Robert Smith (The Cure), Rosanne Cash, Alt-J and many more. Grand Prize also gets $10,000 and winners in every category get $1,000 and a lot of other fun stuff.

Check us out at http://www.unsignedonly.com for a full list of prizes and details. It would be great if we could have a winner from your community. Thanks!

Hmmmm... I didn't check out the site. I won't. I am still waiting for my Nigerian prince to send me my money. When it shows up in my bank account, I shall withdraw it and move to a warmer climate as I don't trust Mum Nature anymore either. She's been nasty this winter.

Here is an article at examiner.com (whatever/wherever that is) that seems to be a press release, there is no review of the organization.

The domain name was registered just under 11 years ago and is a small business, apparently. The domain name has a little value, according to the link. Alexa gives it a rank of 46,743 in the U.S.

Here are some 2012 results for Canadian artists.

I don't know if this is another setup like "Who's Who" where naive individuals pay to get their names in print, but it does seem to have been around for a little while.

Here is their Nashville, TN, Better Business Bureau rating (A+).

This may be the BBB information but it shows up as "International Songwriting Competition" when you enter "Unsigned Only."
