Certainly is Steve he has been to C sharp house, Walthamstow, Bethnal green,trying to find the ones that happen, not advertised and mainly English

Thanks for that. Lots listed, many of which would be my sort of thing, but most with no indication of the genre.

For me, "Irish" means "avoid", and a lot are clearly labelled that way, but it isn't obvious for a lot of the others whether English or Scottish instrumental music would ever feature.

Greenwich Traditional Music Cooperative meets every Tuesday at Lord Hood Greenwich, London mainly instrumental - violins, concertinas etc. ENGLISH traditional folk tunes - occasional songs - very good pub and great atmosphere.

Second Monday , English (Mostly) tunes just outside Maidenhead on the A4 , at least until April - Pub is closing and we are researching a new venue
And the Blue Anchor at Byfleet has a session on the Fourth Monday .

I am happy to assist with transport for anyone who is in London and Carless
