02 Apr 14 - 07:04 AM (#3614499) Subject: Edinburgh Folk Club Song Competion From: Johnny J Edinburgh Folk Club, Annual Song Writing Competition, 11th June 2014 Once again, it's time to be creative as our annual competition takes place again on Wednesday 11th June. Over the years, we've had some worthy winners including the likes of Karine Polwart, Jim Malcolm and many more. While there's not been a "Boom Bang a Bang", we've at least had "Yabbadaba Doos". :-) All the usual nonsense applies but, just in case, here are the details of this year's rules. http://www.edinburghfolkclub.co.uk/index.php/articles In recent years, the costs of running this competition have increased and, in an effort to offset some of these, we have reluctantly come to the decision that all persons attending this competition should pay an admission fee. This will also include entrants themselves although they will be admitted at a reduced rate of £5 per person. We do hope that the above doesn't discourage anyone from entering the competition this year but one good song will surely ensure the recovery of your initial outlay and much more. :-) |
