From: Brian Peters I've come across this tune in a couple of different places (one being a Harry Boardman song about pubs changing for the worse), but I'm sure it belongs to another, probably better-known, song. But it came from the cowboy movie and was called "The Strawberry Roan". It was a poem written by the rodeo rider Curley Fletcher and set to a tune by Nat Vincent. Robyn |

USA, Arizona. In the repertory of Arizona fiddler Kenner C. Karchner, who said it was a favorite at rodeos as far back as 1920 (Shumway). And also in Laws - C1915.
