19 Jun 14 - 05:37 PM (#3634687) Subject: Songs of Bob Watson From: GUEST,Vin2 If anyone interested in sea songs / shanties and is familiar with the songs of Bob Watson a great cd colletion of his songs is now available called Old Ports of Call; compiled and sung by Andy Kenna who is part of the ensemble of singers / players who perform at the Oddfellows Arms in Middleton, Rochdale every Monday night at nine (some of whom accompany Andy on the cd). Some great songs including Birkenhead Rose (my favourite), Nancy-o, Bosun's chair, Welsh Girls, Shantyman and lots more. |
