I kid thee not!

Harbour Voice - Soundcloud

I was actually listening to Show of Hands 'Cold Frontier' when this followed on automatically...and my ears went "KAPOW!!"

They've done this before with The Young Un's....so trust me, they're Pure Gold!

Altogether now:

"Max, do we HAVE to endure this bloody woman!"
"Max, we've done ALL we can to make her hate folk music/mudcat!"
"Max, why won't she go away!"

Well, I won't go away because of voices like this...

So, all you Moaning Minnies, please place heads up arses if you're not going to listen to these stunning singers....

I'm on The Battle of Stockton now...and it's Orgasmic!! :0)

I'm sure they will be as grateful for your help and support in popularising them as Show of Hands were.

Listening to them, and NOT having been at Glastonbury, I'm grateful to Lizzie for having brought them to my attention.

There may be a lot about Lizzie's opinions with which I do not agree, but I don't allow that to make me sink to the level of treating her with contempt, an action which tells me more about you, than about her.

Yep of course, nice lads entertaining in the traditional style with David's manic sense of humour

Closest I can get to past "acts" parallels would be the Yetties

However their attention to songs from that bit of NE England, Stockton and Hartlepool is truly distinctive and unique drawing on past success but not necessarily songs of Teeside Fettlers, Vin Garbut, Richard Grainger and the Mighty Wilsons

Great track, Lizzie. You could have stopped there, at the blue clicky, then Guest might not have felt obliged to say what he or she did. Listening through the tracks on Soundcloud and enjoying them.
Have seen the band live at our local club: the music was great but they seriously mis-judged their audience when it came to the "humour". It was frankly crude and "behind the bike sheds". We are not prudish, but..... This was 2 years ago, so maybe they'll have some better banter for Glastonbury.

Guest was being snotty about something that Lizzie was doing exactly right: sharing music. Lizzie did, however, invite negative criticism. In the future, Lizzie, less is more. Just share the music, don't worry about the trolls - if you don't anticipate the attacks you won't be setting yourself up for them.

Guest was deleted for making irrelevant attacks on someone he clearly is following around mudcat in order to harass. --mudelf
