Join us for this inspiring multimedia event featuring rare film clips, scenes from Jim Brown's The Power of Song, live music, and conversation highlighting Pete’s grassroots activism, his commitment to the Hudson River, and the vast impact of his passionate embrace of the power of song as a catalyst for awareness and change. John Platt, WFUV's Director of Communication and Sunday Breakfast host, leads a discussion with Anna Canoni, the Senior Operations Manager of Woody Guthrie Publications and Guthrie’s granddaughter and Pete’s grandson, filmmaker Kitama Cahill-Jackson. Pete & Toshi Seeger will be honored at the upcoming Seeger Fest - a five day free event in New York City and the Hudson Valley featuring music, dance, film and more! A Multimedia Event featuring LIVE MUSIC performed by Tom Chapin and Mike + Ruthy followed by a RECEPTION at the Media Arts Lab with music from the Shovel Ready String Band.
