Earlier this year I watched her series with Donald Sinden, "Two's Company", three episodes--in order--in the morning before I went out on my errands. Thank you YouTube. Although I was watching alone, I would often burst out laughing at the the repostes. I remembered them from the late 70s on KPBS in San Diego. Really nearly forty years ago!!! I also saw videos of her one woman show. What a Golden Girl she would have been, not that Bea Arthur was chopped liver in that series. RIP Elaine. |

That would have been in the mid-80s. I couldn't tell you the various plot lines now, but I remember laughing out loud through the whole series. SRS |

This became an immense hit for Danny Kaye and the Andrews Sisters -- "Bingo, bango, bongo, I don't want to leave the Congo..." Does anyone know if any recording of Ms. Stritch singing this song exists? |
