Help: Stolen instruments (South London)

Passing on a message from a fellow player in SELFolk Orchestra:

"We STUPIDLY left two beautiful Belgarth Bodhrans and my much loved fiddle in the boot of the car last night and the car has been broken into and they have been stolen. Please can you share this status ..... You never know....they may come your way!!!"

The Bodhrans both have serial numbers. The fiddle has "Concertante Antiqua" on a label inside the body.

If you live around the South East London area please check with local cash for goods places. Police have been informed, etc.

I know the people (we play together) and the instruments. Please pass on and do send any info back to me.

Cheers.

Hope the Fiddle doesn't get broken up for firewood and is recovered by it's owner asap.

IF they ment so much...why would anyone treat them so poorly?

Very likely they are in more loving hands than the previous owners.

Most of these type posting appear as clap-trap-tryp . If the source were trying to be helpful they would post the make and MODEL Number of the instruments they purport to know.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

What is WRONG with the UK musicians....thread after thread through the years sends out a call for instruments when what appears to be a drunken sod has failed to secure the source their livelihood.

Check Ebay. The slimeballs may try to sell them there.

Last year I was, for my sins, president of the Pittsburgh Science Fiction Club. Which meant I was keeper of a suitcase full of club stuff, that nobody else would want. I kept the thing in the back seat of my car, so it would get to the meetings the same time I did, and kept the car locked.
Some jerk broke a window! Said jerk was smart enough to look into the suitcase before he took it. Which is why the new president now has it. He also keeps the thing in his car. Locking something in a car trunk is, usually a good way to keep it safe.
