Since he buys up entire collections, he'll get duplicates together with the records that are new to his collection. It will get worse as his collection increases. Unfortunately, as he seems to buy without knowing the individual records bought, he will indeed need to buy all the world's record collections, even those consisting of just a single record specimen, to ensure he has every unique recording on vinyl in existence.
