22 Nov 99 - 06:34 PM (#139695) Subject: RE: BS: check me out From: katlaughing kendall, to leave you a voice message by MediaRing, someone has to have your email addy. I will go see if you have yours listed and send you a song. To talk directly, pc to pc, someone would have to have your telephone number which your computer is working on. If you are online, you will hear it ring and the little phone will pop up, you can then talk back and forth, for free, using your headset. thosp, go to www.mediaring.com, or click here. It is a program by which several of us have been sending voice messages and songs back and forth by email, free of charge. The messages can be up to 15 minutes long. The quality is best if you have a phone number to send it to, but you can do it to an email addy, too. We have had several threads on it; if you search for MediaRing or VoizMail, you should be able to find one or two of them. Okay,Kendall, here I go. kat |

I tend to prefer ICQ and the Mudcat chat. I also run my own that is only up in the evening at http://members.tripod.co.uk/jonbanjo/MyChat.htm when I am on line. Jon |

22 Nov 99 - 09:12 PM (#139780) Subject: RE: BS: check me out From: katlaughing Hi, Kevin, not yet. It snowed and blowed and got "slick in spots" with some blowing and drifting snows across the non-descript (read, you can't tell where in the hell it is) road. So, we shall ago'Oh in the morn! Kendall and I just tried talking a couple of times using our telephone numbers. He heard me loud and clear. To me, he sounded like an old-fashioned, two-way radio call from the bottom of a barrel in the frozen hinterlands of Alaska! Couldn't distinguish a word. Sorry, Kendall, nothing personal, cause I know you have a great voice! kat |
