It is the words to the actual performance that I am seeking. It was an East Devon based folk group called the Wayfarers that are proving problematic. They ran a folk club in Devon. They were on a London Folk Song Cellar recording in the 1960s. The link to their rendition is above. In order to properly document and record their performance I need the words to the song as sung by them please. Verse 3 seems to be unique (what there is of it - it was truncated during a cassette recording turnover event). Many thanks. |
