Looks like I've got everyone stumped on this one.

Do you have any lyrics at all?

Unfortunately no lyrics, just heard the song sung.

Where did you hear it? Location, date, approximate time?

How did you hear it? Live or recording (bootleg or commercial)?

You write "Tyneside" and "Welch" what country?

WHY - do YOU want the lyrics? (this can make a big difference in how deep, and how long the "searchers" seek)

Were YOU drunk, or otherwise compromised at the time of engagement with the "tune?"

Song heard in The Britannia Pub, Tuesday night 16th Sept time approx 10-00pm.
Sung live by George Welch who lives on Tyneside, North East England.
I would like the lyrics so I can learn the song to sing at folk nights.
No I wasn't drunk, as I drive could only have one beer.
The tune was very catchy with lovely lyrics.
Hope that answers your questions.

As an aside to that, there are a fair number of Youtubes of him - but not that song!

From one guest to another you seem to be a rather cheeky inquisitive person to ask so many questions.
Didn't think this to be the correct manner when asking someones help.

If....someone asks for "HELP".....

It helps...if that "someone" provides... details. It appears the original poster has a sincere, honest request. They provided details

IF...Mr. Welch... is willing ... the door is available...

Mudcat is NOT a "pirate portal."

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

Dear Guest, please review the "mission statement."

Gargoyle, I think this refers to the post by yet another undisclosed GUEST on 05.10.14. at 08.57.pm, rather than anything you have said! I should ignore...
