AA'BB. Composed in 1985 by Pete Jung (Kingston, N.Y.), who said: "I wrote this while playing the mandolin, on the way back home from a Brattleboro (VT) Dawn Dance, at about 7 A.M. I wrote it for a particular woman who has an enchanting but elusive quality—that was what I was trying to convey." The melody has become quite popular and pops up from time to time at sessions. Matthiesen (Waltz Book 1), 1992; pg. 21. CCF2, Cape Cod Fiddlers – "Concert Collection II" (1999). Maggie's Music, Ceoltoiri "Silver Apples of the Moon." Wild Asparagus "Tone Roads" (1990). Conor Keane – "Oidhreacht" (appears as "Nicholas Quemener's Waltz"—Quemener is with the group Arcady). " found on thesession.org |
