It is a book in the New York Public Library, and the music is public domain. Here's the URL. https://archive.org/stream/tenprovenalcar00sabo#page/10/mode/2up Can anybody tell me how to print these pages? It looks like I have to print only 15 double pages to get all the music. Ctrl P doesn't work, and shift+PrtSc brings up a tiny version of the whole web page, and I don't know what to do with it. I have a guitarist friend who loves French Christmas music, and I would like to play some of these songs with her. |

When you press this the image on your screen is saved to the clipboard. Open a picture editing program like Paint, start a new image and press 'Ctrl' (lower left hand corner of keyboard) and 'v' at the same time to paste the image. You may have to experiment to get the image you want. You should be able to print directly from that. Alternatively you could save it as a jpeg and you can then put it into a document like 'Word'. That makes it easier to resize it before printing. |

Unfortunately the ABC in question is so dependent on one implementation as to be utterly unusable on any equipment I have access to, and the code is some of the least human-readable ABC ever written, so it probably won't do you much good. Maybe they'll put it into PDF when they're done. |

Click START, on your programme menu. Then click ALL PROGRAMMES. You'll find it in a folder marked Accessories. Open the page you want to snip, then click the Snipping Tool icon. It will open in a seperate window with your target window still visible. Then just run the cursor round the area you want to print, save it as a JPG and you're ready to print. Saves printing off any superfluous background detail. |

29 Nov 14 - 11:28 AM (#3681003) Subject: RE: Tech: need help printing old carols From: Stilly River Sage If you right click to select each page view on your computer and do "Control C" (no quotes) you should end up with a copy of the image, and then you can paste it into a new page (Control N) in Photoshop or Word or any number of programs. For another screen shot capture method you can go into your Windows "all programs" (assuming you have the good sense to use Windows!) and in the Accessories open Snipping Tool. (I would first mouse over, right click, and send a shortcut to your desktop.) If you click on Snipping Tool it makes the whole screen look kind of milky and you move your cursor to the upper corner of what you want to save, select the part of the image you want, and when you let go of the mouse you have the image to save as a jpg or png. After you save it your computer will let you print it when you open it in the resident Microsoft photo viewer software. The public library appears to have not allowed any way to save the whole or partial file to a computer. You might alternately to to a public library that pays for database access and look for the file in JSTOR and from there you COULD save the PDF to your computer or a thumb drive, then print the pages desired. Scanned books are sometimes redundant, to be found in different sites and will have different settings as far as print or download are concerned. Even Google Books may have this. If it is old enough, they might have it as a free book. If you discover that it is in JSTOR or another site that requires a fee for an individual user, go ahead and post the citation here and I'll see if I can grab it through my university library databases and send you a copy. I have managed to print fuzzy but useable pages so far. (I really ought to browse through Accessories and see what other neat features I have been missing.) Next I will try Stanron's Paint method. |

Right quick on each image and choose 'Save Image As' (or 'Picture As' depending on which browser you're using.) Then import or paste into a suitable graphics or office program, depending on what you have. I just tried an image in Word and got pretty decent results when resizing to A4, although A5 is better if that's not too small for you. (or equivalent USA size) |
