Songs, Tunes and Carols in Kent

Dear Mudcatters,

Last month I posted about a new folk club starting in Maidstone, Kent under the name of The Three Ravens. Our first event was a great success and I was so pleased to see old and new faces alike. Unfortuantely the venue we used, Stepping Stones Studios, has closed down. We will now host all future events at The Bower House, 5 minutes walk from Maidstone West Train Station.

You will probably know The Bower House for hosting many amazing acts, such as Martin Carthy, Spiro, Emily Portman and many more, so I would really like to thank Lucy and Sandy for letting us move The Three Ravens there.

Just a reminder that the next event is on Tuesday the 23rd from 8 o'clock where chilli will be provided.

I hope to see you there!

If you have any questions please let me know via this thread, or find me on facebook "Sinead McQuillan".

Thank you,
Sinéad.

Good luck. My Xmas period is hectic. Will you make the folk ale at the GI on the 20th?

Hope it goes well. Apart from Penny's do I think Maidstone is a bit of a folk dessert, though we did play recently in Tyland Barn. ( I think thats Maidstone )

Hi Richard,

Unfortunately I'm working but have a great time, I'm sure it will be great.

Flora, yes you're right. There is a singaround every 4th Monday at the Old house at home in pudding lane and of course the bower house hosts fantastic acts. As well as having our singaround/session there on the 4th Tuesday, a community choir is also being set up.
