"Tony Deane (of Elsie's Band) died peacefully in his sleep on 2nd January in Padstow - in his beloved Cornwall. He had been singing in the Pub all afternoon and evening. He had a lot of Padstow friends.
His Wake will be at The Blue Anchor Pub in West Street Reigate on Wednesday 11th February 3.30pm onwards.

Would love to be there, but not possible- am sure he will have a fine send off- knew I couldn't make it, nor the funeral, but hope my obit for the current 'Living Tradition' mag may compensate just a little- best regards to all at the wake

May I presume, on behalf of Tony`s family, to express their gratitude to all who attended Tony`s memorial at Reigate, some having travelled considerable distance. Those who, due to particular and personal circumstances, were unable to be there, rest assured you were there in spirit. The occasion was testament to how well Tony was regarded by his friends and those who knew him. Family and friends giving readings, memories and anecdotes as well as singers and musicians contributing was the perfect setting. We wish to join his family in saying a big thank you to all for making the afternoon such a memorable occasion.

John.
