Reminder.

And for the record, I am told that a certain small minded and spiteful individual is going around saying that people are milking Knockholt and it is a rip-off. That is a lie. He is saying that the farmer only charges us £4 per night and we are pocketing the difference. That is a lie. He is saying it is still costing FolkMob money. That is a lie. In fact, last year, two individuals had to put their hands substantially in their pockets.

He owes all involved a grovelling apology (if my information about what he is saying is correct).

Good. One lovely songstress will likely be there with a family party which will swell the ranks, and the mainstay regulars will doubtless be about.

Reminder! We have not yet decided which will be feast-day. I must also check my chainsaws. And remember not to forget the miles of hose... Or the several spare tents 'n' stuff.

All I will say is that if Knockholt is half as good as Pigs Ear was , Pigs Ear will have been twice as good as Knockholt ! or something like that ! LOL

2 bogs organised for £170+VAT. They will arrive on Weds 17 Jun, and I will need to meet them there to show them where to put the loos and to plastic the payment! They will phone me to let me know the timing in advance. It is a new company - Lav-hire - since the usual ones were fully booked. I am assured that they will be clean, that they are as big as any standard portaloos, they will have footpump water (not for drinking) to the sink, and that they will even tolerate soft and fluffy bogroll so that sybarites do not destroy the operation of the loos. But I suggest sticking to the soluble bogroll - of which I have a number of spare rolls. The loos will depart after 4 pm on Sunday.

Wood organised - there is old stock and the farmer has said if we run short we can nibble the felled trees with our little chainsaws.

Marquee - we will check wevva forecast nearer the time. No point in erecting it if it will not be needed.

Hose - I have it and will bring.

Feast - Friday since a number of people want to go to the anti-austerity demo on Saturday.

Crow Sister - contact me about how many extra tents and stuff I need to bring. Close fiends of Crow Sister's, remind her!

PLEASE CLEAR YOUR OWN RUBBISH. Take a rubbish sack to the fireside with you and take your own empties away. Take your rubbish and recycling home.

There will be NO skip.

There are NO chemiloo emptying facilities.

No fires other than in the firepit. Protect grass from barbecues (preferably on something like bricks or breezeblocks or frames) and cooking rings.

Both chainsaws work.

Metcheck is vaguely optimistic about the wevva. "The Weather Outlook" is VERY optimistic.

Wevva looking promising. Metcheck is down, BBC says nice Thurs and Fri and no rain but cloud Sat, The Weather Outlook says largely nice but maybe a little damp in the air on Sat.

Metcheck still down. TWO says almost all nice, but 0.3mm rain on Sat. BBC says all nice. But it might decide to tip it down Sunday afternoon.

Oh FFS. Now TWO says wet and BBC says dry!

Metcheck and TWO say very wet late Friday. BBC and Accuweather completely disagree and say no rain over Knockfest although cool for June and overcast on Sat.

TWO - damp Weds, nice Thurs & Fri, apocalyptic Sat. Metcheck ditto. BBC all nice but some showers Sat. Accuweather, mostly nice, all dry, cooler on Sat.

Bogs on site. Marquee on site. Trailer has a flat tyre but maybe I can take that tyre to a Kwik-Fit or similar after erection on Thurs. The farmer has left two huge piles of twigs and branches near the firepit - so big that you cannot see which is over the firepit - the only place we are allowed to have a fire. I think it is under the bigger pile, which will need therefore reducing until the firepit is found and the size of the pile is small enough to be safe to light...

Only Metcheck predicts worse than maybe a shower on Saturday. Could this be the fine Knockholt we have been praying for?
