Folks should check out all the other stuff Simon has going on - he is a powerhouse of energy and inventive ideas, all of which raise the profile of traditional music in Scotland. I was lucky enough to be invited to the Traditional Music Awards in December (Thanks to Dave Francis / Traditional Music Forum, another excellent organisation - worth checking out) and it is an amazing, glitzy event, a fabulous evening featuring a whole range of performers and organisations involved in our cultural heritage.
