Lochgoilhead Fiddle Workshop (based in Strachur, learning tunes traditionally /by ear)is featured in the March 'Hands Up For Trad' Business Limelight Award.

I have absolutely no idea how to put in a link to the site, but if you google:

Hands Up For Trad Business Limelight

it should take you there!

Thanks to Simon Thoumire for featuring the club- - and for the amazing amount of energy he puts into improving the profile of traditional music in Scotland!

Thanks Guest,# - - that is indeed the link!

Folks should check out all the other stuff Simon has going on - he is a powerhouse of energy and inventive ideas, all of which raise the profile of traditional music in Scotland.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Traditional Music Awards in December (Thanks to Dave Francis / Traditional Music Forum, another excellent organisation - worth checking out) and it is an amazing, glitzy event, a fabulous evening featuring a whole range of performers and organisations involved in our cultural heritage.

Wonderful!

If you can't get there next year- then watch the highlights on BBC Alba
