However, I was curious about her singing in the early days before she joined Pentangle. I also remember seeing her and John Renbourn at our London Hosputal Medical Coolege Folk Club, probably around 1966. |

I see a lot of performances on YouTube of different singers at clubs in the 60's but I guess it was not video then. I just called it that because I didn't really know what it was called /referred to when they filmed someone playing at a club. Not familiar with cine cameras. We didn't own one and none of my parent's friends had one either. :-)) Do you remember if Jacqui was singing traditional or what type of songs she was singing? Did she sing solo at all or as a duo only with John? Thanks! |

I enjoyed reading it very much and all her wonderful memories of Bert Jansch. I couldn't agree more with Jacqui's comments about the noise in clubs when you are trying to listen to the singer and people are talking. I have always thought that was so very rude of people. To add to the mix now we have people on their cell phones and texting at music events. Like Jacqui said, "They should go outside or to the bar." It was a very good interview/chat and appreciate you taking the time to provide the link. |
