Keep on playing the blues up in the sky, B.B. All gone bluesers are waiting for you for a jam session...Meanwhile, Lucille weeps...

RIP

I have a Gibson ES. Doesn't suit my playing, can't use it in acoustic sessions and if I did use it more, I can't get the action right.

But listening to Lucille throughout my adult life?

Well, you just have to have one and be nearer to thee my idol.

Not often I feel emotional about the demise of my musical heros but with BB I'll make an exception.

I've never been a big fan of Mr. King but, one December 1966 evening as I worked late in an office on Grimsby Docks I had my little transistor radio playing. The pirate station man announced "Night Life" by B.B. King and I stopped work and gazed over the dock lights while I listened.
This may be long-winded but that song and that sound can take me right back to that long ago night and exactly how I was feeling at the time.
RIP Mr. King you were truly something.

Looking for a recording by him of Save a Seat for Me. Not the recording on BB King Sings Spirituals. The recording I am looking for was a segment, not the whole recording, and was a lovely guitar solo. May have been a live recording, and may have been one of the many - no vocals - may have been from live recordings that were not released on albums of him playing with other notable musicians at live performances. And was only a clip - probably 30 seconds, that played the article out. Apparently not on youtube, but I did hear part of it on NPR today while driving. Have cruised the podcasts of shows on during the lengthy but chopped up times I was in the car, but have not found it. Any help welcomed.
