Obit: Will Holt RIP (1929-2015)

LA Times today obits Will Holt. Although I never saw him in person I still enjoy the two LPS of him in my collection. More of a cabaret sing, I would think, he did write "Lemon Tree" and "Raspberries, Strawberries." He was 86 when he passed last week.

Reading about the deaths of Holt and Ronnie Gilbert on consecutive days is making me feel very old--but then again, I probably am.

He's one of those names everyone's heard, but nobody can quite say what he did. His Wikipedia article gives some good information, but it's limited.
May he rest easy.

Aha! Now I remember why Mr. Holt's name was familiar to me:

Charlie On The MTA

Scroll down to the "History" section.

I was sorry to hear this news. I have added Will to the "In Memoriam" thread. My thoughts are with those who love and miss him.
